9:30AM - Reformation Sunday Forum in Shatto Chapel

Martin Luther ushered in the Protestant Reformation exactly 500 years ago, posting his 95 Theses on the church door in Wittenberg, Germany on October 31st, 1517. First Church deacon, Susan Bjerre, will lead a discussion on this historic event, highlighting the who, where, and why.  This Forum will take the place of Seekers Class, which will resume on November 5th in FabLab with Jessica Harmon’s continuing series covering Rob Bell’s book, What Is the Bible?:  How an Ancient Library of Poems, Letters, and Stories Can Transform the Way You Think and Feel About Everything.

Join the celebration for kids & adults of all ages! Everyone will judge the chili and trophies will be awarded for Carnivore and Vegetarian categories. We’ll have carnival games, prizes, craft stations, trick-or-treating, and a costume parade for kids, so make sure to wear your Halloween costumes to church!
