COMMITTEES

THE WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION This dedicated and friendly group of women and men offers fellowship and volunteer opportunities. They gather for lunch and a program monthly from October through December and February through June. Lunch is $8, and programs comprise a wide range of speakers and entertainment. Guests are welcome. If you would like to become a member dues are $7 per year. The Women's Association assists in the church ministry to help meet the needs of the people in our community, as well as assisting with many of the functions at the church. Eight times a year, the association holds a luncheon and program to which all members and friends of the church are invited. Please call the church for current schedule and to make your reservations for lunch.

PILGRIM THRIFT SHOP Located directly across from First Church, this Thrift Shop is operated by the Women's Association. It is open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00A – 3:00P. This all-volunteer group accepts gently worn clothes, shoes, china and children's goods. They are a blessing to our community. “The more you buy, the more you save.”

CHUCK & MIKE'S CAFE Food, Fun & Fellowship. This wonderful group shares its cooking talents with the whole congregation most months from October through June. Enjoy the delicious homemade soup, sandwich and a beverage. You'll be pleased you did. If you are interested please contact June Flowers.

MUSIC CONCERTS AND EVENTS We welcome volunteers to assist in the ushering, ticket sales, refreshments and on an as needed basis throughout the season. You do not need to be a Church member to help, and your assistance will be greatly appreciated. If you are interested please contact Curtis Rhodes.

THE CATHEDRAL CHOIR Are you a singer? If you have the gift of song, share your talents with our fun loving group of people who are passionate about music. The Cathedral Choir blesses all of us with their glorious voices at the 11:00A service. Rehearsal is one night a week from September through June. If you are interested please contact Dr. Jonathan Talberg.

THE PRAYER GROUP We offer prayers everyday for those members in need. If you are interested in joining please contact Rev. Pieter Noomen.

MISSIONARY & BENEVOLENCES COMMITTEE Giving back to the community is the Congregational way. We support several of the following organizations, plus others. Hope-Net Hollygrove Downtown Women's Center Union Rescue Mission Habitat For Humanity

VOLUNTEERS Many of the traditional tasks at First Church are accomplished by our valued volunteers. You are welcome to join in any or all of the activities that make First Church a special place.
